Summer Program!
"Kids Go To Sea"

Hands-on workshop as kids explore what shipboard life was like for children in the Age of Sail.  Includes period crafts, games, costumes, music & sea-lore.  Registration required.  Fee.  Monday, July 26, 9 a.m. to noon.

We welcome visits from students of ages, scouts, home-school groups and others.

Visitors will explore two-hundred years of Harwich and Cape history through exhibits of textiles, tools, art, and photographs displayed in a 19th-century school building.

We also offer an interactive program about the history and culture of cranberry farming for elementary-age students. Students watch a short video about cranberry production, take a guided tour of the cranberry exhibit, and build “mini-bogs” in a cup. These programs are offered by reservation. Cost is $1 per student. For more information or to make a reservation, please call (508) 432-8089 or email harwichhistoricalsociety@verizon.net.
