Museum exhibits open Thursday, Friday, & Saturday June 24 – October 9, 1 to 4 p.m. Admission is $3 for adults; free for members and kids to 18.
Research library & Photo archive – Open by appointment year-round.
Office Hours – Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday, year-round.

Group tours and education programs are offered year round by appointment.

The museum houses an exhibit showing how the railroad influenced industry and everyday life in Harwich. Included is a working HO scale model train layout of the town and surrounding area, built by the Nauset Model Railroad Club.

Presidents’ Day
Monday, February 15, 2-4 p.m.
Music of America

Celebrate Presidents’ Day with some spirited music from America’s past featuring a piano and vocal duet, tours of museum exhibits, and hands-on activities for kids. Admission.

Maritime Antiques

Discover the world of marine antiques with Brad Finch, owner of Spyglass Antiques in Brewster. Includes appraisal time; limit three items per person. Admission.

“From Bodypaint to Bustles”

Explore the history of clothing, in this fascinating talk about costuming from early days to modern times. Includes tour of the Society’s new 1920s costume exhibit. Admission.

Sunday, May 16, 2 p.m. “Master of the Sweet Trade”

The story of pirate Sam Bellamy and the famous pirate ship Whydah are the subject of this talk and book signing by local author Elizabeth Moisan, celebrating Cape Cod’s annual Maritime Heritage Month. Admission.

Locally grown produce for sale. Museum & gift shop open.

Maritime Highways of Cape Cod – Harwich & the Coastal Shipping Trade.

Museum exhibits open for season with a talk on the Cape’s coastal shipping industry, tours of museum exhibits, sea chanteys by Just Plain Folk, and refreshments. Free.

Picnic in the Park, A Little Bit of Tanglewood in Harwich

Enjoy the music of local bands while eating your picnic dinner on the grounds of the museum. Silent auction. Admission.
