Group tours and education programs are offered by reservation throughout the year. The museum also offers guided tours of the collection. Please call for a schedule.
The museum houses an exhibit showing how the railroad influenced industry and everyday life in Harwich. Included is a working HO scale model train layout of the town and surrounding area, built by the Nauset Model Railroad Club. |

| February 5, 12,19, 26 | Introduction to Astronomy Tuesdays at 10 AM. Four sessions and one observation night. Explore the solar system, planetary galaxy, stars and stellar evolution with Jarvis Hunt, retired astronomy teacher and member of Cape Cod Astronomy Society. Non-members $5, members $4 for all sessions. |
| April 6, Sun. 2 PM | On Yankee Ingenuity and Grit Lecture by Theresa M. Barbo, author and historian. Profiles three centuries of the “quintessential Yankee”. Admission. |
| May 4, Sun. 2 PM | Pirate or Privateer: The Story of Capt. Kidd and Cape Cod Lecture by Chris Macort, historian and underwater archaeologist. Celebrating the 15th annual Cape Cod Maritime Days . Location TBA. Admission. |

| July 8, Tues. 9 AM - Noon | "Kids Go To Sea" Program is sponsored by grants from the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod and Harwich's Cranberry Festival Committee. |
| July 13, Sun. 2 PM | Rails to Harwich and Beyond A lecture by members of the Nauset Model Railroad Club chronicles the history of the railroad on the lower Cape during the mid 20th century. Non-members $4. Members of the Society and Nauset Model Railroad Club $3. |
| July 19, Sat. 10 AM – 4 PM | The 22nd Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, Inc. Civil War reenactment group will encamp on Museum grounds, bringing history to life. Military camp-life activities, Museum tours, and activities for children. Free admission to the encampment. Fee for Museum tours. Funded by a grant from the Harwich Cultural Council. |
| August 2, Sat. 10 – 4 | Village Crafters Craft show by juried local craftsmen offers unique gifts and accessories. Refreshments for sale. Museum open for tours. Free admission to show; fee for Museum tours. |
| August 21-23, Thu-Sat. 1-4 | Farm Fest Tours of the Cape’s most extensive cranberry farming museum exhibit with hands-on activities for children. Sponsored with the Harwich Chamber of Commerce. |
